Bhatkal Muslim Jamat Kerala begins construction of houses for Kerala flood victims in Wayanad

Bhatkal/Kerala: Bhatkal Muslim Jamat (BMJ) Kerala recently began construction of houses for the Kerala flood victims in the Wayanad District of the state, with the help of donations and funds it collected.
Former President of the Jamat Abdul Majeed Jukaku informed that the members of Jamat joined hands for fund raising and that the Jamat has bought a 1.7 hectare land on which 16 houses have already been constructed at the cost of 6 lakh each. Construction of more houses is also expected to begin soon.
 
 According to Abdul Majeed, a new colony will be established on the 1.7 hectare land which will be named BMJ Kerala colony and will be inaugurated in August this year with concrete roads, houses and electricity supply.
 
"Our aim is not only to construct houses and handover them to the flood victims. We will also help these people in settling back in life, we will provide education to the children of these people and we also have some other plans to carry out here. This will be for everyone, people from all religions and caste will benefit from it" Abdul Majeed told Bhatkallys.com
Abdul Majeed, on behalf of the Jamat thanked all the donors and those who helped the Jamat in fund raising for their support.
