Bhatkal: Mundalli Church celebrates annual feast

Bhatkallys News Bureau/ Fristen Dias Bhatkal 13 January 2018: Our lady of Lourdes church (Mundalli Church) celebrated its annual feast on Monday 12^th Jan 2018 at the Mundalli church here in Bhatkal. The special mass on feast day started at 10:30 am, Rev.Fr. Rajesh D’souza of Matadkeri  parish of Honnavar was the main celebrant and was accompanied by several other priests of different parishes. Thousands of devotees thronged to Bhatkal from nearby towns and villages including Honnavar, Kumta and others on feast day to take part in the celebrations and made it a successful occasion. After the mass the children of Mundalli parish organized games in the church campus, and later people moved to their relatives home to have the traditional feast meals. The youths of Mundalli parish along with children’s club also organized the cultural events in the evening, wherein children amused the audience by putting up their performances in dance, skits and songs.
