Bhatkal: Mohammed Bilal bags prestigious Najm-e-Ikhwan award of Shams school

Bhatkallys News Bureau/ Mohammed Ismail Bhatkal Dec 21 2017: Idara Tarbiat-e-Ikhwan's Shams School and New Shams School on Wednesday organized its annual day event at their Syed Ali campus on Jamia Abad road Bhatkal. The event began at 8.15 am in the morning with the little kids showing off their new avatars in the fancy dress competition, which was followed by the inauguration event at 10.00 am wherein Abdul Rahim Jukaku, President Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen Bhatkal and Ashfaq Ahmed, Former All India President of SIO were present as Chief Guest and Guest of Honor respectively, while Dr. Owesh Khaja Ruknuddin, Finance Secretary of ITI presided over the event. The prestigious Najm-e-Ikhwan award which is awarded to the best outgoing student of the year was bagged by Mohammed Bilal s/o Azad, who emerged winner by marginally beating runner up candidate Ismail Kakde. A total of five candidates were shortlisted and nominated for the award, and after scrutinizing by the teachers and marking the candidates in all the fields including Academics, Sports, Cultural activities, discipline and others throughout the year, the winner is awarded. The nominated students were Ataullah, Shaikh Shamveel, Abdul Latif Shaikh, Ismail Kakde and Mohammed Bilal. Speaking at the event Ashfaq Ahmed, advised students to be responsible and good citizens of the nation, and that they should lead a respectable life while others should look upto them for inspiration. He also urged the students to master themselves in whatever field they choose. Ashfaq also had a few words of praise for the institution for wonderfully upbringing the students while rendering both worldly and Islamic knowledge to the students. Abdul Rahim Jukaku urged the students to take up careers in Legal fields as well in Media and Mass communications as the community badly needs the manpower in both these fields. The inauguration event was followed by entertainment and cultural program by the students and the event on day one came to a close at 6.30 pm. School secretary Talha Siddibapa, presented the annual report of the school, Raza Manvi introduced the guests while Moulana Abdullah welcomed the gathering. Moulana Abdul Aziz Ruknuddin, Dr. Haneef Shabab, Ashraf Barmawar, Syed Hassan Barmawar and other management members were also present during the event. The day two event which is reserved strictly for ladies is scheduled on Dec 21 from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm in the evening.
