Bhatkal MLA Sunil Naik seeks support from District in-charge minister RV Deshpande to help people construct, renovate properties on encroached land

Bhatkal 23 November 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Uttara Kannada District in-charge minister RV Deshpande on Thursday inaugurated the newly constructed high-tech fish market in Bhatkal near Sunday market on Taluka Government Hospital road here.
During his address, Deshpande urged political parties and individuals to raise above politics when it comes to the development of their respective constituencies.
"We should not, at any cost politicise development, politicising development results in the sufferings of people who have voted us to the power, to serve whom we entered the politics. We should rise above politics when it comes to development" Deshpande added.
Bhatkal-Honnavar MLA Sunil Naik, in his brief address brought several local issues of Bhatkal into Deshpande's notice while speaking in details about the encroached land (Attikaram land) issue, and requested the minister to arrange an adequate solution for the people from government and allow people to construct, renovate their properties on encroached land on which they have been living for years now.
"People have been living on encroached land for decades and their properties have weakened over the years, but they are unable to reconstruct or renovate it owing to the regulations by the authorities, i request you to intervene in this and present an adequate solution to people" Sunil requested Deshpande.
Former Bhatkal MLA Mankal Vaidya, Zilla Panchayath President Jayshree Moger, Taluka Panchayath President Ishwar Naik, TMC President Sadiq Matta and Bhatkal Assistant Commissioner Sajid Mulla were amo g others present during the event.
