Bhatkal MLA Sunil Naik meets CM Yediyurappa, urges him to withdraw cases against Hindu youth and party workers

Bhatkal 31 July 2019: Soon after BS Yediyurappa became the Chief Minister of Karnataka by forming BJP government in the state Bhatkal-Honnavar MLA Sunil Naik, met the CM and submitted a memorandum urging him to order withdrawal of criminal cases against 'Hindu Karyakartas' and party workers if Bhatkal, Honnavar and Kumta Taluka.
The memorandum submitted to the Chief Minister, states that, "Under IPC section 436, 307, 295A, 447, 504 and 505 most of the hindu youths and Party workers were arrested during Paresh Mesta murder case in December 2017, attack on hindu woman at Magod of Honnavar Taluka, protest at Municipality over Ramachandra's suicide, using loud speakers at Marriage function and during commual clashes at Chandavar village of Honnavar Taluka, which the BJP MLA added that those should be withdrawn and the Hindu youths and party workers be set free from it.
The memorandum further stated, "The families of these youths are suffering as most of the them are dependent on them and they are the only bread earners of their respective homes".
Following the suit, Karwar MLA Roopali Naik also submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister regarding withdrawal of cases on Hindu youths who were arrested during Paresh Mesta's case.
