Bhatkal MLA Sunil Naik inaugurates the state level seminar program on conserving environment of coastal region

Bhatkal 16 February 2019:(Bhatkallys News Bureau) Bhatkal MLA Sunil Naik on Saturday inaugurated the State level Seminar on Environment conservation by watering the plant here at Salumarada Timakka Park near Sagar road of Bhatkal Taluk.
Addressing the event MLA Sunil Naik said, “Today It has become a challenge for us to save our environment. Not just the forest even the coastal region conversation also counts in saving the Environment.”
“Today, we see either by widening of National Highway or through unscientific works taking place in the region have directly or indirectly caused damage to the nature. So there is a need of creating awareness and such programs must be organized in college levels too” he said.
During the Program Zilla Panchayat President Jayashree Moger release a report on ‘Heddariyalli Payana’ (Journey in the Highway) and spoke to the audience and said, “God has given a wonderful nature to us. So there is a need of taking care of it”
‘Paschima Ghatta Karyapade’ Ex-President Anant Hegde Ashisara delivered his opinion on the western ghats and said “Today we see so many problems in our surroundings. The water bodies, forest region, and other plains are to be protected. Being the citizen of the country it is our responsibility to save the Environment” he said.
The specialist on Herbal Medicine Keshav Kurse also expressed his view on protecting the Environment.
Uttara Kannada District Working Journalist Association Radha Krishna Bhat Presided the event.
On this occasion Udupi District Working Journalist Association President Ganesh Prasad Pandelu, Vanya Jeevi Mandali Ex-President BH Raghavendra, Dr.Manju, Prof.Kumaraswami, Dr. Mahabaleshwara Hegde, Vijaya Hegde, Vishweshwar Bhat, Dr. Subash Chandran, AFO Chalachandra, RFO Shankar gowda and others were present during the occasion.
