Bhatkal MLA JD Naik holds press meet to brief about development works

Bhatkal – 17 Nov 2012: Bhatkal MLA Mr JD Naik held press meet here at Circuit House, Bhatkal to brief various development projects taken up in Bhatkal Assembly constituency during his tenure. Speaking on this occasion he presented the detailed progress report of his assembly constituency. He said, as per Suvarna Gram Yojana wherein the money is sanctioned depending upon area population around 3 crore rupees have been invested in various development projects like drainage system, road and other basic infrastructure projects at Hadin, Golibelur, Belkhand, Uttarkoppa, Marukeri, Kotkhand and Katre villages of Bhatkal and several gram panchayat areas of Honnavar.

Apart from this Rs 10 crore have been sanctioned for 30 km long road work in various villages including Manki, Samsi, Kaikini, Uttarakoppa, Jali and Goodluck road. He said.

Keeping minorities in mind, 10 lakh rupees have been allocated for development works and 20 crore rupees for drinking water supply project in the areas like Hadavalli, Shirali, Heble, Jali and Bailur. He said.

He said that Rs 10 lakh have been sanctioned for various development works in Bhatkal TMC area. He also highlighted his efforts towards legalization of forest and atikaram lands for those who are living since from 1978. He said as per this scheme, 101 families living on atikaram land including 25 families from Magdoom colony have been selected for this purpose.

On this occasion Bhatkal Taluka Congress Presiden Mr Vithal Naik, ZP member Mr Jaishri Moger, Mr Venkatappa B, Mr Subraiah Naik, Mr Erappa Gardikar, Mr Manjappa Naik, Ms Bibi Aysha, Mr Narayan Naik, Mr Mahabaleshwar Naik, Mr Nagesh Devadiga and Mr Sachin Naik were present.
