Bhatkal MET department forecasts rain on voting day

Bhatkal 11 May 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) As the Karnataka state goes into poll day for its assembly elections on May 12, the meteorological department has predicted thundershowers in the afternoon in parts of state.
The meteorological department of Government of India's representative, while speaking to Bhatkallys.com over phone call confirmed that thunderstorms and showers are expected across the coastal Karnataka.
"Our forecast predicts thunderstorms and showers after 2.00 pm in Bhatkal, Honnavar, Murdeshwar, while the same is expected in Karwar between 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm" she added.
According to the forecast, Udupi district will see rather calm whether throughout the day, while Managluru is also expected for thunderstorms and showers around 2.00 pm.
Bhatkal will see a high temperature of 34° Degree Celsius at 2.00 pm while the lowest will be 30° at 9.00 am and will have a balanced temperature between 30°-33° throughout the day, Honnavar will have the same temperature to be the highest in the day at 1.00 pm with lowest being 31° at 9.00 am.
In Bhatkal there are 61% chances of thunderstorm and showers at 1.00 pm 49% at 2.00 pm and 61% at 3.00 pm according to the accuwhether.com a satellite based whether forecast service. The same service also predicts 49% chances of rains at 1.00 pm, 60% at 2.00 pm and 60% at 3.00 pm for Honnavar-Murdeshwar region.
With this predictions on, people are expected to queue up to their voting booths early in the morning to avoid heat and showers throughout the day.
