Bhatkal man found dead in Honnavar river, suicide suspected

Honnavar 15 Feb 2018: A dead body of a man hailing from Bhatkal was found floating in the river below the Sharavati bridge of Honnavar on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as John Louis (44) a resident of Bhatkal's Mughlihonda locality.
Honnavar police rushed to the scene and shifted the body to Honnavar Government hospital for post-mortem.
Speaking to Bhatkallys.com Honnavar police said "We came to know about a floating body near Sharavati bridge around 11.00 am, we reached the spot and sent the body for post mortem, upon investigation we identified the person as John Louis, our sources confirmed John was Alcoholic and was depressed from last few weeks for some reasons, we are trying to ascertain the reason for this extreme step of John".
A case has been registered in Honnavar police station.
