Bhatkal: Lion sports centre's organizes academic excellence awards ceremony

Bhatkallys News Bureau/ Rizwan Gangavali Bhatkal 02 Oct 2017: Popular sports club of Bhatkal Lion sports centre today distributed Educational awards among nearly 50 students for their outstanding performances academically during its Academic excellence awards ceremony. Moulana Iqbal Mulla and newly elected Principal of Anjuman boys PU College Bhatkal Yousuf Kola were also felicitated during the event. Addressing the event Moulana Khwaja Akrami Madani, advised students to avoid late night outings and also asked them to cut down the the no. of hours they spend using their Mobile phones. He also spoke about how they should offer all the five prayers a day without a miss for a successful life in world and hereafter. Principal of Jamia Islamia Bhatkal, Moulana Maqbool Kobatte while addressing the event spoke about the importance of both modern education and Islamic education in Islam, and how both plays a role in understanding the Almighty and our religion better. He also spoke about the importance of technology in modern world and stressed upon the youth to get the hold of technology and termed it ‘The Need of the hour’. Speaking about the current scenario of Indian politics and Muslims as a community, he said we shall not wait for any Govt. or political outfit to come to our rescue, instead we should fight for our rights independently and shall make ourselves self sufficient for it. Master Shafi Shabandri, Moulana Abdul Aaleem Qasmi, Moulana Abdul Rab and others too addressed the event. The event concluded with Dua by Moulana Iqbal Mulla.
