Bhatkal: Lifecare Hospital holds first CME program in association with Adarsha Hospital Udupi

Bhatkal: 15 January, 2026 (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Adarsha Hospital, Udupi, in association with Life Care Specialty Hospital, organised the Adarsha Hospital Connect, a continuing medical education and interaction programme, at Hotel Royal Oak in Bhatkal on Sunday evening.

The programme brought together senior doctors and healthcare professionals, with discussions focusing on common medical emergencies and the importance of early diagnosis and timely treatment. The event was attended by medical practitioners from Bhatkal and nearby areas.
Savita Kamath attended the program as the Guest of Honor.
Cardiologist Suhas GC spoke on ECG emergencies, highlighting the need for rapid recognition and immediate response in cardiac situations. He underlined that timely interpretation of ECG changes plays a crucial role in saving lives during acute cardiac events.
Nephrologist Megha Pai addressed the gathering on glomerular diseases, explaining in general terms how kidney filters function and how damage to these filters can affect overall health. She also stressed the importance of early detection of kidney-related problems.
Neurosurgeon Rajesh Nair spoke on traumatic brain injury, outlining basic principles of management and the need for quick assessment and intervention to reduce long-term complications.
Dr. Kenneth Crispin from Life Care Specialty Hospital spoke on kidney safety in diabetic patients, focusing on the necessity of regular screening to prevent silent kidney damage and long-term complications.
Radiologist MD Naushad discussed the imaging approach to acute stroke, explaining the role of timely scans in identifying the type of stroke and guiding appropriate treatment.
Medical Director of Life Care Hospital, Bhatkal, Mohammed Nawab, and Medical Director of Adarsha Hospital, Udupi, G S Chandrashekar, were also present and interacted with the participants.
Among those who attended the programme were Dr. Zubair Kola, Managing Director of Life Care Hospital, Salman Jubapu, senior doctors, social worker Nazeer Kashimji and several members of the medical fraternity.
The organisers said the programme was aimed at sharing knowledge, strengthening coordination between hospitals and updating doctors on practical aspects of managing medical emergencies. The event concluded with an interactive session followed by dinner.
