Bhatkal: Katteveera State level Kabbadi kicks off

Bhatkallys News Bureau Bhatkal: The State level kabaddi tournament organised under the banner of Kattaveera Sports club commenced on a high-grade here on Sagar Road on January 19, Friday. The programme begun in the evening with a grand inauguration ceremony. Bhatkal MLA, Mankal Vaidya along with other prominent guests sparkled their presence in the occasion. Two matches were played after the inauguration ceremony. First match was between Sai Dharwad and Chickmangluru team where Sai Dharwad was successful in beating opposition team by a comfortable margin. Second match took place between a local team BMYF and Moodabidri Alwas attaining the great local audience response. But Moodabidri Alwas succeeded in begging the victory with the scorecard reading 21-32. A sequence of matches are lined up for second day and the organiser are hopeful of large crowd of public on day two.
