Bhatkal: Kaikini Villagers demand restoration of bus stop at Heradi Cross

Bhatkal: Residents of Kaikini Gram Panchayat have urged the NWKRTC Bhatkal depot to resume bus halts at Heradi Cross, stating that the withdrawal of the stop has caused inconvenience to the public.

Villagers said the area has a school, the gram panchayat office, a bank and several government establishments. Every day, hundreds of students and residents use this route. They pointed out that government buses used to stop here earlier, but in recent days local buses have been passing without halting, forcing the public to walk long distances.

They stressed that reintroducing the stop is necessary for daily commuters. Villagers also warned that if their request is ignored, they will be compelled to block depot buses in protest.

Since the depot manager was not present, staff members received the memorandum. 

Ganesh Naik, Vishnu Naik, Dileep Naik, Mithun Naik, Ashok Naik and Subrahmanya Naik were among those who submitted the memorandum.
