Bhatkal: Jali Patan Panchayath will fund BPL cardholders to construct homes; here's who can apply

Bhatkal 18 September 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Bhatkal Jali Patan Panchayat has issued a circular citing a central government scheme that will help fund the farmers to build homes on their registered lands across Karnataka under the Vajpayee City Housing Scheme for BPL card holding farmers without their own homes.
According to the circular, Women, retired army men, handicap, widows and senior citizens of general and minority category can apply to avail the facility. However the applicant should possess his/her own land (RTC of the land has to be submitted while giving an application) and must not have any house registered on their name anywhere in the state to apply for the scheme.
Recipient of any housing schemes by central or state government earlier will not be eligible to apply for the scheme.
An income certificate from the Tahsildar's office along with RTC of the land will have to be submitted along with the application in Jali Patan Panchayath office, the last date however for submitting the application is set to be 25 September 2018.
