Bhatkal: Jai Karnataka protest against Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem's stand on NH 66 widening, Submits memorandum to AC

Bhatkallys News Bureau Bhatkal 23 Aug 2017: Days after Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem along with other local NGOs and organizations protested against the widening of NH 66 in Bhatkal and advocated the By-pass flyover against it, Karnataka Sangha a local organization today submitted a memorandum to the Assistant Commissioner (AC) at his office, protesting against the stand of Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem. The memorandum threatened of protesting on a bigger stage if the NH66 widening did not take place as per the passed resolution, while claiming that it was some ‘Selfish and Mean’ people who were opposing the widening of the road for their personal gains and that the other people have already surrendered their lands and in exchange of the compensation by the Government. The memorandum demanded the highway to pass through the town and by-pass will not be in the public interest of the town. Chandra Shekhar Naik, Maruti Naik, Pandurang Naik, Suresh Moger, Vivekanand Naik, Chidambar Naik, Mahesh Naik, Jay Shankar Naik and other were present at the ACs office while submitting the memorandum.
