Bhatkal: Jabruth Khateeb first candidate to file nomination; will contest independently

Bhatkal April 20 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Jabruth Khateeb, a resident of Bunder road Maghdoom colony is the first candidate from the Bhatkal-Honnavar constituency to file his nomination at the Assistant Commissioner's office here. Jabruth filed his nomination on the first day of nomination filing dates set by the election commission. Assistant Commissioner's office also confirmed that Jabruth's is the first nomination it has received. In the affidavit submitted by Jabruth during his nomination, he has mentioned that he is 6th grade pass out, and is a self employed businessman of local fisheries. Jabruth will contest the elections as an Independent candidate, a claim he has been making from several months now, he had earlier installed banners across the town calling for support from the local voters in 'fight against corruption'.
