Bhatkal: Hundreds of people turn up for Congress candidate Mankal Vaidya's roadshow

Bhatkal 09 May 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Congress candidate from Bhatkal-Honnavar constituency for assembly elections and sitting MLA Mankal Vaidya on Wednesday held a roadshow in Bhatkal along with party members and workers.
The roadshow began from Public Chabutra at old bus stand and marched through the NH 66 to disperse at Nawayath colony cross here.
Hundreds of party workers and supporters from different communities including Namdhari, Kharvi, Moger and others turned up for the roadshow amidst tight police security supervised and led by Bhatkal CPI.
Senior party leaders in the roadshow included Block Congress President Vittal Naik, Jali Patan Panchayath President Abdul Rahim Shaikh, Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem president and Congress member Muzammil Kazia and others.
Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem General Secretary Altaf Kharuri was also seen walking side by side Mankal Vaidya during the roadshow.
Karnataka is going into the polls on May 12 while the counting of votes will be conducted on May 15, Sunil Naik is contesting from Bhatkal-Honnavar constituency on BJP's ticket while there is no official candidate in the field from Janata Dal (secular).
