Bhatkal: Heble residents demand action on garbage issue

Bhatkal 07 April 2018: The residents of Heble Panchayath area on Saturday called upon the officials of Panchayath to fulfill their long pending demands.
Moulana Irfan Nadvi, enquired about the progress on the dumping yard possession of the Panchayath and alleged that even after receiving orders from Assistant Commissioner the Panchayath officials are yet to initiate any work in this regard as the streets are still looming with garbage all over, causing inconvenience to the locals.
Irfan Nadvi, further stressed upon water scarcity in the area and said over the years Madeena Welfare Society has been supplying the water to the needy during summers.
Former councilor of the ward Nisar Ruknuddin, also demanded immediate attention of the officials towards the garbage dump yard issue and said people from different parts of the town are bringing their garbage and are dumping it in our area, which should be taken care of immediately.
Panchayath President ND Moger, said due to election and its code of conduct the paper work for the dumpyard issue has been put on hold and it can only be resolved after elections, he further assured of initiating dialogue with concerned authorities to resolve it.
