Bhatkal: Heble Panchayath finally gets a garbage dump yard; Garbage collection expected to begin from early Nov

Bhatkal 6 October 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) In what can turned out to be sigh of relief for the residents of Heble Panchayath of Bhatkal, the Panchayath officials have finally managed to secure a garbage dump yard for themselves, an official of the Panchayath informed Bhatkallys.com on Saturday.
Heble Panchayath Councillor Syed Ali Maliki, while speaking to Bhatkallys.com said "Yes, we have managed to get a land on lease to convert it into garbage dump yard, and internal formalities are being completed as we hope to started collecting garbage door-to-door from November 1".
"We understand the residents in our limits have gone through hardship due to the inappropriate dumping of garbage on the roads, hence we are very happy as finally after so much of hard work, we finally have a solution" he added.
Heble Panchayath localities and residents have now long been battling the garbage of the roads which had resulted in several protests, memorandum submissions to authorities, claims of diseases being spread due to the garbage dumping on the roads etc.
Meanwhile, the Panchayath officials on October 2, once again cleaned the garbage dumped on the roads to mark Gandhi Jayanti and Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan.
