Bhatkal: Heavy rains prompt school, PU college closure in 3 taluks on July 5

Bhatkal, Jul 4: Due to the continued heavy rains in the district, the district administration has declared a holiday for educational institutions in Bhatkal, Honavar, and Kumta taluks on Thursday, July 5.

All Anganwadi centers, primary schools, high schools, and PUC institutions will remain closed.

However, ITI, degree colleges, diploma colleges, engineering colleges, and postgraduate classes will continue to function as usual.

The order was issued by Deputy commissioner of Uttara Kannada Decision.
