Bhatkal girls shine in II PUC results, excel across all streams

Bhatkal, April 10: Students from Bhatkal, particularly girls, have delivered an impressive performance in the II PUC examinations, securing top ranks across Arts, Science and Commerce streams and bringing recognition to their institutions and the town.

 

In Arts, Shifa Anam, daughter of Ameer Hamza and a student of Anjuman PU College for Women, secured 591 marks (98.50%) and stood first in the district. From the same college, Maimoona Ajaib, daughter of Mohammed Ameen Ajaib, scored 594 marks (99.00%) in Science. In Commerce, Sanjana Nagappa Naik of New English PU College, Bhatkal, scored 593 marks (98.83%) and secured a top position.

 

Siddhartha Composite PU College, Shirali, and Baina Vidya PU College, Murdeshwar, recorded 100 percent results.

 

Among colleges run under Muslim management, results were also encouraging. Anjuman PU College for Women recorded an overall pass percentage of 92%. In Science, the pass percentage stood at 96.61%, followed by 94% in Commerce and 77.04% in Arts. A total of 107 students secured distinction, 177 passed in first class, and 42 students scored a perfect 100 in individual subjects.

 

At Anjuman PU College for Boys, the overall pass percentage was 89.33%. In Commerce, 13 students secured distinction, while 53 passed in first class and 35 in second class. The Science stream recorded a 90.2% pass percentage with 8 distinctions, while Arts recorded a 100% pass rate.

 

Students of Shams Pre-University College, Bhatkal, also performed well. In the Science stream, 15 distinctions were recorded and 12 students passed in first class. Notably, this was the college’s first batch appearing for II PUC exams. Aatifa Siddiq, daughter of Mohammed Muhiyuddin Siddiq, topped the college with 98%, while among boys, Ismail Abu, son of Ibrahim Ismail Abu, secured 94%.

 

Ali Public Pre-University College students performed strongly in both Science and Commerce streams, securing a total of 35 distinctions. The girls in the college recorded a 100% pass rate. Joodah Ruknuddin, daughter of Qadir Meeran Ruknuddin, and Sara Minhal, daughter of Mohammed Ismail Akrami, topped the college with 96.16%.
