Bhatkal girl wins university gold medal; women yet again pride of Anjuman

Bhatkal, 6 February, 2019 (Bhatkallys News Bureau) - This year’s annual convocation event at Karnataka University Dharwad marked a special moment for Bhatkal’s Maryam Hira Ishad Ikkeri. A student of Anjuman Hami-E-Muslimeen, Maryam received several accolades for her exceptional academic performance. Maryam received the Dr S Uday Tata Gold Medal for topping the marketing specialisation in BBA, and also secured the second rank overall. She was among the 216 medalists at the convocation ceremony attended by academics and students among other guests. Dr. Shekar Mande Director General of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) was the chief guest at the convocation. In his convocation address, Dr Shekar reminded students, “Do not trust anybody. Depend and trust only your judgement. It will help you achieve new heights.
