Bhatkal: Funeral rites of Dr. Ali Malpa performed

Bhatkallys News Bureau/ Rizwan Gangavali Bhatkal 02 Sept 2017: The funeral rites of Dr. Ali Malpa, President Jamia Islamia Bhatkal and Patron of Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem were took place today after the afternoon prayers where his son Moulana Shafi Malpa led his funeral prayers before his body was taken to the Nawayath colony graveyard for burial, where a huge number of people turned out to bid him their respect for a final time. Moulana Sadiq Akrami, expressed his sadness and said it is a great loss for the community and has left a huge void to be filled in, he further went on to say the community today has become ‘an orphan’ (after the passing away of Dr. Ali Malpa). He further expressed his disappointment and said the community failed to respect him to the level he deserved. Dr. Ali Malpa passed away on Friday 01 Sept 2017 evening at the age of 100 at his residence located at Nawayath colony.
