Bhatkal: Frustrated over losing work in Saudi, Bhatkal man commit suicide

Bhatkal 15 January 2019: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) A man who returned from Saudi after losing his job, committed suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling of the house with cable wire at his residence near Mankuli of Bhatkal Taluka on Monday evening. The deceased has been identified as Ramachandra Durgaiah Devadiga, resident of Mankuli locality in Bhakal. According to sources, the man was frustrated after losing his job and not being able to find a suitable marriage prospect for his daughter. However, the exact conclusion for his extreme step is yet to be ascertained. Sources said that, Ramachandra used to work at Saudi for about 22 years as a driver and on 9th January he had returned back to his native Bhatkal, and was particularly depressed over losing the job and not finding marital partner for his daughter. A case has been registered at Bhatkal town police station, and the body of Ramachandra was handed over to the family after post-mortem. Ramachandra is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.
