Bhatkal: Five arrested while illegally transporting cattle

Bhatkallys News Bureau/ AJ Asadi Honnavar 20 Aug 2017: Local police last night busted an consignment which was illegally transporting cattle and has taken five people into the custody, local media reported. According to the sources 20 cattle were being illegally transported in a vehicle which was stopped on a check post in Ghersoppa. Following the checking, the cattle, vehicle were also taken into custody along with five people including one person who belongs from Bhatkal. Those arrested have been identified as Venkatesh Mani, Venkat Raman, Kaleem Basha, Govinda and Basheer. Venkatesh, Venkat Raman, and Kaleem are said to be residents of Bengaluru, while Govinda and Basheer belong to Andhra Pradesh and Bhatkal respectively.
