Bhatkal: Fisherman dies after slipping into sea while fishing

Bhatkal 28 April 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) A 40 year old fisherman died after slipping into the sea from his fishing boat while returning to the shores after fishing near Bhatkal’s Bunder here on Friday 27 April 2018.

The deceased has been identified as Krishna Manjunath Kharvi(40), a resident of Mavinkurve near Bunder of Bhatkal

Krishna along with his co-workers went for fishing on his boat on 26^th of April and in the evening while returning to the Shore around 7:45 pm Krishna slipped into the water and went missing for the whole night. However on the next day around 12:15 pm his body was found floating on the shores of Bunder.

Soon the body was shifted to Bhatkal taluka hospital for postmortem and was later handed over to the family.

A case has been registered at Bhatkal rural police station.
