Bhatkal: Fisherman dies after falling into the sea near Netrani Island

Bhatkallys News Bureau/ AJ Asadi Murudeshwar 11 Sept 2017: A local fisherman identified as Dinesh Venkatappa, lost his life after he reportedly fell into the sea while fishing on Sunday nearby Netrani island. The victim, a resident of Soligedde area of Bhatkal Taluka was on his regular fishing outing into the Arabian sea when he suddenly fell into the waters from his boat. Other fishermen who went along with him claimed that they made attempts to save him but they were unsuccessful. His body was recovered late on Sunday evening, and after Post-mortem at Govt. hospital it was handed over to his family. A case has been registered at Murdeshwar Police station.
