Bhatkal Federation team wins District Level Cricket Tournament in Honnavar

Bhatkal / Honnavar - 02 Jan 2012: Bhatkal Federation team defeated host Tulsi Honnavar by 62 runs to win the District Level Cricket Tournament which was played here in Honnavar.

Batting first, Bhatkal scored 208 for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs with the contributions from Nasrullah 68, Mohammed Ali 40 and Hussain 38 runs.

Chasing a victory target of 209, Tulsi Honnavar managed to get only 146 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their 20 overs.

The winners were awarded with trophy and a cash prize of Rs 25,000/- and the runners up received trophy and a cash reward of Rs 15,000/-. Man of the series awarded to Nufail Hallare, Man of the Match award went to Nasrullah Askeri, Best bowler - Abdul Gaffar and Best Batsman - Nufail Hallare.

The closing ceremony was graced by Mr Mankal Vaidya.
