Bhatkal: Eight arrested while illegally transporting cattle from Telangana

Bhatkallys News Service/ AJ Asadi Bhatkal 17 Aug 2017: Eight people were intercepted and arrested by local police in Yellapur while illegally transporting cattle from Telangana to Bhatkal. According to sources 62 cattle were being transported in two consignments vehicles from Zaheerabad town of Telangana to Bhatkal. Two teams of police led by Circle Police Inspector (CPI) Manjunatha with his sub-ordinates PSI Shridhar, A.Y Kamble, probationary PSI Navin Nayak, ASI Narayan Rathod, AHC Venkatesh and other stopped the two vehicles. The first consignment was busted Sabageri cross area in which 31 cattle along with the vehicle were seized. Another seizure was made at Jodukere area in which a vehicle was carrying 32 cattle was seized out of which 1 cattle was found dead. Those arrested, have been identified as Ali Hassan, Noor Hassan, Islam Yaseen, Usman Yaseen, Zeeshan Yasmeen Yadgeer, Muhammad Asad Khan, Abdul Qadeer Khan, and Muhammad Ismail Qureshi all residents of Telangana. A case has been registered in Yellapur police station and further investigation is underway.
