Bhatkal: Educational institutions celebrate Gandhi Jayanti with 'Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan'

Bhatkal 2 October 2018: The students and lecturers of several educational institutions including Anjuman celebrated the 150th birth anniversary of father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi (Gandhi Jayanti) by cleaning their campuses as a part of nations swacch Bharath Abhiyaan, here on October 2 Tuesday. Students of Anjuman Institute of Technology and Management, Anjuman Islamia Anglo Urdu High School and Anjuman Boys PU College organised the clening drive in their respective campuses on Tuesday morning. The NCC cadets of Anjuman also cleaned the beaches and help awareness programs among locals during the day. AITM Principal Mushtaq Ahmed Bavikatte, Anjuman Boys PU Principal Yousuf Kola along with other staffs and students led the cleaning drives at their respective campuses in Anjumanabad. Similar drives were also organised in other campuses including New English PU College where a formal event was also organised stressing upon the need of following the principles thought by Mahatma Gandhi including the one of clean India.   (Bhatkallys News Bureau/Rizwan Gangavalli)
