Bhatkal: Dhil-Hijj crescent moon sighted; Eid-ul-Adha on Aug 22

Bhatkal 12 Aug 2018: Bhatkal Hilal Committee on Sunday announced the sighting of crescent moon in Calicut of Kerala and thereby announced the beginning of the lunar month of Dhil-Hijj from Monday Aug 13. The Eid-ul-Adha (Bakri Eid) is celebrated on 10^th of Dhil-Hijj which means it will be celebrated on 22 Aug in Bhatkal. Kingdom of Saudi Arabia had announced the sighting of crescent moon on Saturday, and 10^th of Dhil-Hijj and Bakri Eid will fall on 21 August in the country. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
