Bhatkal: Depressed youth ends life by hanging himself at home

Bhatkal 7 July 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) A 26 year old youth who was allegedly depressed for last few days committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Mankuli of Bhatkal taluk here on Friday afternoon. The deceased has been identified as Nagesh Ganapati Naik (26), a resident of Mankuli. According to the sources Nagesh, who is a tailor by profession didn't go to work on Friday, and was observed to be depressed over something particularly on Friday afternoon. When the other members of the house were not home, Nagesh hanged himself, soon when his brother who came home for lunch noticed him hanging to the roof and with help of neighbors rushed him to the nearest hospital, but Nagesh breathed his last on the way. The reason behind his depression is yet to be ascertained. The body was handed over to the family after post-mortem at Government hospital of Bhatkal. A case has been registered at Bhatkal Police station and further investigations are underway. (Bhatkallys News Bureau/ Fristen Dias)
