Bhatkal: Depressed teenager commits suicide

Bhatkal 13 May 2019: Depressed over some issue, 17-year-old student allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself inside a room here at Gorte on Sunday 12 May. The deceased has been identified as Naveen Kumar Mastappa Naik, a resident of Bhatkal. According to sources, Naveen had come to his grandmother’s home at Gorte to enjoy his vacation. However, depressed over some reason he allegedly hanged himself using dupatta. Exact reason for the teenager's extreme step is yet to be ascertained. A case has been registered at Bhatkal rural police station.
