Bhatkal Delegation meets Home Minister

New Delhi - A five member delegation representing Bhatkal met with Union Home Minister, P. Chidambaram, on Monday afternoon to discuss issues facing the Bhatkalli community.

The offial meeting hosted at the Union Home Minister's office was aimed at discussing areas of concern which needed immediate attention from theHome Ministry.

Media reports maligning Bhatkal were discussed at the meeting as the delegation raised concerns over the continued targeting of Batkalli residents by police, immigration and other government officials.

The delegation was represented by S.M. Syed Khalil, Kazia Yunus, S.M. Syed Raees, Parvez Kasimji and Muzammil Kazia.
