Bhatkal: Decomposed body found at Nastar beach

Bhatkal 02 April 2018: A dead body was found in a decomposed state at Nestar beach of Mundalli here on Sunday April 01.

The body was found when a group of local youths was walking on the shores when they saw a decomposed body of a unidentified person, the locals immediately informed Bhatkal Rural police who rushed to the spot and shifted the body to the Bhatkal Taluka Government Hospital. Speaking to Bhatkallys.com Rural Police Station official informed that the body was later identified as that of Laxman Somayya Kharvi (58) a resident of Gangolli in Udupi District. According to police, The body was identified based on a missing complaint filed at Gangolli Police Station on February 10.

A case has been registered at Bhatkal rural police station.
