Bhatkal 11 December 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Congress workers in Bhatkal, on 11 December celebrated the victory of party in three of five states were elections were held, by taking out a celebratory rally near Shamsuddin circle here on Tuesday evening. Indian National Congress (INC) under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, won majorities in three of five states (Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chattishgarh) where elections were held, sending shockwaves across the BJP camps as the saffron party lost power in all three states. Party workers marched the rally with the party flag flying high and bursting firecrackers on Shamsuddin circle here, depicting their happiness over the party's victory. Congress however failed to achieve significant numbers in Telangana and Mizoram, but it was still touted as a 'big setback' for the BJP, which was confident of sweeping powers in all five states, but couldn't secure majority in any of the five states where elections were held. Congress party is on roll since Karnataka assembly elections, where although it did not secure majority, but won significant number of seats to then make a coalition government with JD(s).
