Bhatkal 02 May 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Bhatkal Congress Seva Dal general secretary Ganapathi Naik on Monday called a press meet in a private hotel of Bhatkal expressing his outrage at the Congress candidate Mankal Vaidya  alleging the MLA has worked for creating his own image setting aside the party's image and has used party's reputation for his personal gains.

During the press meet Ganapati Naik said that he has been working for the Congress for last 34 years and has been  serving the party as the president of Congress Seva Dal for 15 years now.

"During every election I have led the Seva Dal used to campaign selflessly for the party's victory. But this time we will not campaign for the non-worthy candidate therefore for this election we would  extend our support to BJP candidate Sunil Naik" He added.

Taking a dig over the 1500 crore funds , Ganapati Naik said that Mankal being elected as an independent candidate joined Congress and with the help of Siddaramaiah led government he alleges that about 1500 crores of funds has been sanctioned by him and displays it on the big banners and thus creating his self image and not showing up Congress party’s support.

The members of congress Seva Dal Shankar Naik Hebbal, Prakash Achari, Kiran Naik , Krishna Gonda and others were present in this occasion.

The news might come as a shocker to the sitting MLA Mankal Vaidya ahead of the upcoming Karnataka assembly elections that is scheduled on May 12, as the Seva Dal plays an important role in campaigning for the party candidate in any election and absence of their support can mean some deep trouble heading the MLA's way which he needs to address immediately and settle the matter with them at the earliest.
