Bhatkal: Congress marks 8 Nov as 'Black Day'

Bhatkallys News Bureau/ Rizwan Gangavali Bhatkal 08 Nov 2017: Marking one year of demonetization of Rs. 500 and 1000 notes by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, District congress committee on Nov 8 observed ‘Black day’ while also protesting against several policies of Narendra Modi led BJP government. A protest rally was taken out by Congress workers from Shamsuddin Circle to the office of Assistant Commissioner (AC), where they submitted a memorandum to the President of India asking his interference into the matter. Block Congress president Vittal Naik, listed out the demerits of demonetization and explained how demonetization was a bad idea. Naik further added that the lives which were lost due to the demonetization should not be forgotten and termed the whole demonetization as ‘Gamble with common man’s life’. He was accompanied by several other congress party workers during the protest rally.
