Bhatkal community in Mumbai celebrates Eid Milan

Bhatkal - 18 Oct 2011: Bhatkal community in Mumbai celebrated first ever Eid Milan under the auspices of BMJ-Mumbai here at Narang House on Sunday, 16th October at 9:00 pm.

The program was started with the Qirat of Hafiz Mohammed Junaid. Shakeel Kharuri rendered Hamd while Yunus Sukri introduced the guests.

Mr Arif Naseem, Minister of Minority Affairs, Govt of Maharashtra was the chief guest of the function. Speaking on the occasion he praised the hospitality of Bhatkali people and said that he was very much impressed with the lifestyle of community when he visited Bhatkal. He assured all possible support for Bhatkali people residing in Maharashtra.

Several events like drama, dialogues etc attracted the audience. Later budding Naity poet, Mr Affan Bafaqi enthralled the crowd with his beautiful poems.

A lucky draw was held at the end of the program in which participant tried their luck. First prize, Umrah package was won by Abdul Hameed Salamati. Second prize, iPhone 4GS won by Umar Khalifa. Third prize, Refrigerator won by Mohtesham Ismail while the fourth prize, Automatic washing machine won by Nashith Khalifa.

On this occasion, Mumbai's famous lawyer, Mr Mubeen Solkar, Mumbai Peace Committee President, Mr Fareed Shaikh were present on the stage.

Mr Jafer Mohtesham presided over while Yunus Sukri and Naufil Damudi compered the program.

The program was successfully concluded at around 2:00 am. Dinner was served before the commencement of the program.
