Bhatkal: 'Citizenship Training Camp' organized for Anjuman B.Ed students

Bhatkallys News Bureau/ I. Zaorez Shabab Bhatkal 03 Dec 2017: A two-days 'Citizenship Training Camp' was inaugurated for the students of Anjuman B.Ed college on Sunday in the college campus. The two-day program will which is made mandatory for all the colleges of Education by the Karnataka University Dharwad, requires the students to visit rural places and learn about the basic problems, lifestyle and other routine of the people there. During the inauguration event Dr. Zakiya H Zarzari, Principal of Anjuman College of Education, briefed the students about the importance of the camp and how it plays an important role in building the characteristics of a good teachers. Dr. Nagappa P Shahpur, Chairman and Dean, Dept. of PG Studies in Education, Karnataka University Dharwad, who was present as the Chief Guest of the inauguration event, in his address spoke about the number of opportunities and advantages the students of Education and budding teachers get in the modern world. He also explained about the online certification courses that the students can take up which can come handy in their careers. He then requested the management to get the college NAAC accredited which will further add value to the college and the degrees of the students. Engineer Nazir Ahmed Quazi, the guest of honor at the event spoke about the importance of dreaming big for an individual, and urged every student to dream big if they had to be successful. He also spoke about how 'Changing the world' should begin for Changing oneself. He then spoke about how the attitude of an individual plays an important role in making them successful in their careers. College board secretary Aftab Qamri, Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen President Abdul Rahim Jukaku also addressed the students during the event. The two-day program will see the students visiting rural areas, interacting with people in rural area, attending seminars in and taking part in other cultural events in the college Ishaque Shabandri, Ismail Siddique, Prof. Zarzari were also present along with other staffs and students of the college.
