Bhatkal celebrates 65th Independence Day

Bhatkal - 16 August 2011: Bhatkal witnessed 65th Independence Day with colourful celebrations across the town. All Schools, Colleges, Govt offices and Non Governmental Organizations had hoisted the tricolor and remembered the martyrs and freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the Independence struggle.

The major function was held at police ground which was presided over by Bhatkal MLA, Mr J D Naik. The BEO, Mr Devidas Moger welcomed the audience while Assistant Commissioner, Mr Rajiv Moguveer hoisted the tricolor.

On this occasion students presented colourful cultural programs and took part in grand parade.
