Bhatkal celebrates 63rd Republic Day

Bhatkal - 26 January 2012: Colourful performance by students and R-Day parade marked the 63rd Republic Day celebrations in Bhatkal. Tri-color was hoisted at all Government and several non-govt offices including Police Ground, Anjuman Islamia Anglo School, Shams High School, Tanzeem, Jamia Islamia, Municipality, Schools, Colleges and the day was celebrated with colourful programs.

The main program was took place at Police Ground where Assistant Commissioner Mr Ashok Naik hoisted the National flag at 9:15 am and inspected the guard of honour. Addressing the gathering, Mr Naik exchanged R-Day greetings and shed light on this historic day. Bhatkal MLA Mr J.D. Naik also addressed on this occasion. The function was concluded with the vote of thanks by Bhatkal BEO, Mr Devidas Moger.

Prizes were distributed among students who had won medals at state level competitions. Later school children showcased their amazing talents and depicted Indian culture and traditions with their vibrant performances.

On this occasion Bhatkal AC Mr Ashok Kumar, Bhatkal DySP Mr M Narayan, Bhatkal Tahsildar Dr Madhukeshwar, TMC President Mr Inayatullah Shabandri, Bhatkal BEO Mr Devidas Moger, TP President Mr Pashunath and several others were present.
