Bhatkal celebrates 62nd Republic Day

Bhatkal, 26 January 2011: Colourful performance by students and R-Day parade marked the 62nd Republic Day celebrations in Bhatkal. Tri-color was hoisted at all Government and several non-govt offices including Police Ground, Anjuman Islamia Anglo School, Sham

s High School, Tanzeem, Jamia Islamia, Municipality, Schools, Colleges and celebrated the day with colourful programs.

In the morning at 9:15 am, Assistant Commissioner Dr K N Anuradha hoisted the National flag at Police ground and inspected the guard of honor. Addressing the gathering, Dr Anuradha presented R-Day greetings and and shed light on this historical day. Bhatkal MLA Mr J.D. Naik also addressed on this occasion. The function was concluded with the vote of thanks by Bhatkal BEO, Mr Devidas Moger.

Prizes were distributed among students who had won medals at state level competitions. Later school children showcased their amazing talents and depicted Indian culture and traditions with their vibrant performances.

On this occasion Bhatkal AC Dr K N Anuradha, Bhatkal DySP Mr M Narayan, TMC President Mr Inayatullah Shabandri, Bhatkal BEO Mr Devidas Moger, TP President Mr Gori Moger and several others were present.
