Bhatkal boy secures third place at international karate championship

Mumbai/Bhatkal 10 Feb 2019: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) A 10 year old boy hailing from Bhatkal and a student of IIIrd standard at Darul Aimaan School in Mangaluru Ismail Nameer Ruknuddin has secured third place in the 24th Asian/International WFSKO Open Karate Championship organized by World Funakoshi Shotokan Karate Organisation in Mumbai.
The event was organized at the Priyadarshini Sports Complex, P. K road Mulund, Mumbai, on Feb 09 and 10, where Nameer played in the 8-10 years orange category.
Ismail Nameer S/O Nisar Ahmed Ruknuddin, is being trained karate at his school in Mangaluru, and is a green II belt student of the martial art.
Nameer had earlier won state level championship at Moodbidri and later secured second place in the National level championship, also held at Moodbidri, to be qualified for the international level.
Earlier during state level tournament, his parents had reported that Nameer had fought against students of PU I and PU II and had managed to knock them out.
