Bhatkal: BJP protests arrests of party workers, submits memorandum to Governor of Karnataka

Bhatkallys News Service/ Rizwan Gangavali Bhatkal 23 Sept 2017: Demanding compensation for Ramachandra Naik and protesting against the arrests of BJP members in Bhatkal in regards to the stone pelting protests outside Municipal complex last week, Bhatkal BJP took out a silent rally demonstration from Shirali to Bhatkal Tahsildar office. The party also submitted a memorandum to the Governor of the state through the Tahsildar demanding immediate release of the party members while claiming that such arrests violates their Freedom of Speech and expression. Several members of BJP were recently arrested in Bhatkal in connection with the stone pelting protest that vandalized the TMC building last week after a man attempted suicide by setting himself on fire after several shops were sealed by the TMC officials for operating without proper bond papers. Vidhan Parishad member Srinivas Poojari, former Bhatkal MLA JD Naik and Sunil Hegde were also present during the rally.
