Bhatkal: BJP MP Aanant Kumar Hegde visits Bhatkal, takes a dig at MLA Mankal Vaidya and congress government

Bhatkal 27 May 2017: Karwar BJP MP Aanant Kumar Hegde paid a visit to Bhatkal and organized an inspection meet with several administrative officers, in a bid to check the progress of several programs sanctioned by central Govt.
He also lashed out at the Forest Department and made it a point that the department doesn’t reserve any authority to halt any construction or demolish any buildings, but the Gram Forest Committee reserve any such rights with them. When he was acknowledged about the Gram Forest Committee not being in force in town he gave a deadline to the concern authorities to form the committee within three days. He questioned several officers about some of the schemes of Central Govt. and took the officers to the task for not getting satisfactory replies.
He later took a dig at Bhatkal MLA Mankal Vaidya and Congress led State Govt. pointing at the commen from Mr. Vaidya days before his visit, promising the installation of 110 kv line for the town, the MP said it is not something which can be done overnight.
He further warned against sanctioning of relief funds and other central Govt. facilities tp people under any kind of Political pressure, and cleared all such decisions shall be taken only at Gram Sabha and not abiding by the instructions can land them in legal trouble.
Zilla Panchayath Member Nagamma Masti Gowda, Taluka Panchayath Member Pashwarnath, Hanumanth Naik, Sulochana Naik, Tahsildar VN Bhatkar and other officers were present at the meeting.
