Bhatkal: BJP leader Govinda Naik's bakery catches fire; loss worth Rs 5 lac reported

Bhatkal 4 January 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) A bakery belonging to BJP leader and former Bhatkal MLA candidate during 2013 assembly elections caught fire causing loss of items worth Rs. 5 lac to the bakery item production unit at Hanuman Nagar here on Thursday. As per reports, ‘Satya Sai Food Production’ belonging to Govinda Naik, caught accidental fire and burnt food items, ovens, utensil, oil containers, electrical appliance including CCTV cams, bulbs, and other items estimated to be of about Rs. 5 lac. It has been gathered that, when the fire broke out, the labors of the unit tried to control the fire gunny bags. However, when the fire looked going out of control, the owner’s brother called fire brigade. The fire fighters successfully turned the fire off while Bhatkal town police also reached the spot and investigated the cause for the fire. No casualties have been reported in the incident.
