Bhatkal: BIFA's State level Football tournament Kicks off

Bhatkallys News Service/ Rizwan Gangawali Bhatkal 22 April 2017: Bhatkal Inter Football Association’s (BIFA) State-level football tournament kicked off at the Taluka Stadium Bhatkal on Friday evening in the presence of some prominent personalities and players. During the opening ceremony, in his presidential address, Moulana Irfan termed sports as an ‘important part of life’ and was in awe of the training sessions of BIFA right after the Fajar prayers on a daily basis. Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem Vice-President Inayathullah Shabandri, credited BIFA for the growing popularity of Football in and around the town over the years. Block Education Officer (BEO) who was also present at the event, congratulated the association for organizing the tournament and assured  all the possible support from the administration. The three day tournament will come to an close on 23 April 2017, with the final match scheduled on the Sunday evening.
