Bhatkal: BIFA team returns home to a heroes' welcome

Bhatkal 07 March 2018: Amid cheers and enthusiasm of fans, the BIFA team has arrived in Bhatkal, early Wednesday morning.
The crowd at the Bhatkal Railway Station was seen cheering 'BIFA, BIFA' and 'Karnataka, Karnataka', with the friends of players and prominent personalities of the town including sponsor of the team and Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem General Secretary Altaf Kharuri.
The players received a grand reception at the railway station with people hugging and garlanding them.

Many of the people were seen holding posters saying, 'Congratulations on winning All-India Football 7 Championship.'
The team won All-India senior Football 7 Championship, on Monday beating Maharashtra in the final match with a margin of 1-0.
The team will now participate at the international version of the tournament due to be played in Chile and Dubai in April this year.
