Bhatkal: Bag with 500 grams gold and five lac cash placed on a bike stolen

Bhatkal 14 March 2018: A case of theft was reported on March 13, wherein cash worth over 5 lac rupees along with gold was stolen when an jewller Uday Keshav placed his bag of gold and cash on his bike outside his shop and turned to pull down the shutter late on Tuesday night.

By the time Keshav pulled down the shutter of the shop, the robbers robbed the bag and escaped from the spot in a matter of few minutes. Shocked with what happened Keshav fell unconscious and was rushed to a nearby hospital.

The exact amount of cash and the gold is not yet ascertained as the owner of the shop was hopitalized, the close sources of Keshav confirmed that the bag had over 500 grams of gold along with cash of over five lac rupees.

A case has been registered at Bhatkal town Police station and police is further investigating the case.
